In a heated moment during a debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address in the Lok Sabha, TMC MP Mahua Moitra launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led government and businessman Gautam Adani. Moitra accused Adani of duping the government and brought two birthday caps to the floor to press her argument.
As an ex-investment banker, Moitra expressed her desire for honest and hardworking Indian companies to thrive, not just “trapeze artists.” The Krishnanagar MP also called for a thorough investigation into the alleged irregularities in Adani Group.
Moitra stated that she is not angry but wants the truth to be known, and for the government to take necessary action to ensure that companies are operating in a fair and transparent manner.
